Business Profile

Welcome Drumgesk is an enlarged and refurbished Scottish croft house, built in 1899. With a beautiful dining room and a large drawing room, along with a country kitchen, it is a warm and welcoming family home.

About Drumgesk B&B is open for much of the year, except for November - January.

It has been awarded two stars by the Scottish Tourist Board.

Full British, Scottish, Continental or Scandinavian breakfasts are served in the Dining Room.

Drumgesk is a non-smoking B and B.

Location Drumgesk is situated in the heart of picturesque Royal Deeside, in the valley of the River Dee.

The house is midway between the local towns of Aboyne and Kincardine O'Neil, and only 35 miles west of Aberdeen. It is located just off the A93, which runs west from Aberdeen, towards Ballater and Braemar.

To find us, if you are travelling West on the A93, go through Kincardine O'Neil and further on for about 2 miles (3km). You will then find yourself driving along a long straight section of the A93 (see map below; just to the left of the letters 'MS'). The entrance to our drive is at the end of that straight section - instead of bearing right along the main road, turn left up our untarmaced drive (which is almost a straight continuation of the road, but you'll have to slow down to make the turn). The house is located at the top of our drive, which is approximately 400m long (NOT the house in the woods at the bottom of our drive) - Drumgesk B&B is indicated by an official, blue VisitScotland B&B sign outside the double iron gates. Note, if you see on your right a restaurant called the White Cottage, you have gone too far along the A93.

Despite our proximity to the main road, we are above it, and therefore many have remarked on how peaceful, quiet and private we are.

Although Scotland's reputation for hot and sunny weather is not the greatest, Deeside enjoys a microclimate that results in drier and sunnier weather than the surrounding region.
